Pulp papermaking was developed in China in the 2nd Century.

Stardream paper comes in a range of finishes, including metallic, pearlescent and iridescent. The paper is available in a wide range of colors. There is a one-sided paper and board option, and an embossed board available in three different finishes.

  1. Applications

    • Available in two different thicknesses, you can use Stardream for many text and cover applications, including annual reports, brochures, direct mail, certificates, stationery and greeting cards.

    Suitability

    • Stardream is suitable for blind embossing, creasing (with pre-creasing advisable), foil blocking, one-side coated lamination, offset varnish, silk screen with a ruling up to 150, thermography, and ultraviolet (UV) varnish. Although suitable for poly-lamination, carry out trial tests to make sure the film adheres to the paper.

    Recommendations

    • Printing techniques for which Stardream is recommended include lithography, die-cutting, lamination, letterpress, and offset. Stardream is guaranteed for laser printing, including color.

    Inks

    • Conventional, UV and infrared (IR) inks are suitable. If printing dense tones or solids, use fully oxidizing inks. Stardream is not recommended for preprint lithography and subsequent laser printing.
