Yamaha 750 CC Spark Plug Specs

Yamaha's XS750 was a 750 cc, 75 horsepower motorcycle produced from 1986 to 1991. Because of its unusual, three-cylinder engine configuration, 750s are usually referred to as Triples. It was widely considered to be the most mechanically advanced motorcycle of its time. Engine size in the XS750 increased to 850 cc in the last two model years.

Recommended Spark Plug

Factory-recommended standard spark plug for all model years of the Yamaha XS750 is the NGK BP7ES. This is a 14 mm, projected insulator style plug, with a standard 2.5 mm center electrode and a spark heat rating in the mid-range.

Spark Plug Gap

Recommended plug gap for the BP7ES in the Yamaha XS750 is 0.7 mm to 0.8 mm.

Alternative Plugs

The Champion RN7YCC may substitute for the NGK BP7ES. If engine performance calls for a hotter running plug, the NGK BP6ES may be used. For an premium, long lasting plug in the NGK Iridium Series, either the BPR7EIX or the BPR6EIX are compatible with the Yamaha 750
