Accelerated EMT Training in Norwich

With an accelerated EMT training program, students can complete their course in as little as 2 weeks, compared to ones that can take up to 6 months. In Norwich, Connecticut, there is a program called the Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) accelerated program.

  1. Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support Program

    • The PHTLS program is offered to all levels of pre hospital caregivers, including EMTs, police, paramedics and nurses. While most courses last about 2 hours per day and take several weeks to complete, the accelerated PHTLS program is a 2-day course, with each day lasting about 9 hours.

    How the Course Works

    • The PHTLS course uses a scenario-based approach in which an emergency situation is presented to the class and you receive hands-on training in how to treat it. You will increase your critical thinking skills for emergency situations you may encounter on the job.

    How to Enroll

    • The course costs $350, and you can enroll online. Refresher workshops are also available if you have already passed the initial course.
