Description

Dwarf pampas grass has gray-green foliage with a mature height of about 3 feet and a 6-foot spread. The ivory-colored plumes bloom during late summer and rise above the leaves, turning brown and gold during winter.
Cultural Conditions

Plant in a well-drained, moist and fertile soil in areas of full sun. Apply a balanced fertilizer once a month and water during very dry weather. Mulch the roots heavily in very severe weather to protect the roots. Spring is a good time to transplant dwarf pampas grass.

The grass grows well in containers and may be used on sunny patios and decks. Use as an ornamental and accent planting in the garden either singly or in mass planting. Grow behind flower beds as a background and as a border of larger beds.
