What Is a Balance Microscope?

Many different types and brands of microscopes exist, many with features that allow the user greater control over the instrument. A balance microscope is a specific kind of microscope built by KAPS International.

    KAPS Microscope Models

    • Five of the six available models of KAPS microscopes are balance microscopes. Only the KAPS 1100 is not, but the same microscope can be purchased with the balancing system (under the name KAPS Balance 1100). The other models (1200, 1300, 1400 and 1450) all have the balancing system as well as some other features.

    Balancing System

    • The KAPS balancing system keeps the microscope completely balanced during repositioning. Balancing is accomplished with a special coupling system. The ability to reposition a moving microscope without knocking it out of focus is extremely useful during dental procedures.
