What Is ISO P9 Tolerance?
The International Organization for Standards (ISO) is an international group that sets universal guidelines for measurement of thousands of items. In the case of bearings, certain types can tolerate certain amounts of stress, an amount quantified by ISO.

P9 Bearings
-
P9 bearings are are used for specific application on items such as machine spindles. This class of bearing can deliver a higher rotational speed and accuracy making it appropriate for jobs requiring higher tolerance.
Types
-
Types of ball bearings that have different classifications, including P9, are deep groove ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. Deep groove are also called radial or motor ball bearings, and are used as engine components. Tapered roll bearings are built to operate on a shaft for jobs that require thrusting.
