Mini Scanner Virus
Computer viruses are malicious software programs designed to spread from one computer to another, interfering with computer operations. Viruses may come disguised as normal applications or files, but they harm systems by corrupting or deleting data. The mini scanner virus is one such virus.

Symptoms
-
The mini scanner virus implements a task bar on the infected computer's main screen with an unknown black icon. When you roll your mouse over this icon, a message reading "A very useful mini scanner to avoid Trojan attacks on your computer" pops up on the screen. If you click on the icon, an application window opens up claiming to scan your computer to rid it from viruses. This is actually part of the virus, and will lead to files becoming corrupted and data getting deleted.
Removal
-
Anti-virus software and some anti-malware software will remove the mini scanner virus from your computer. Purchase this software and install on your computer, or download free software to do the job. This software will scan your computer, identifying and isolating the virus, so you can remove it.
