The HP Designjet T7100-CQ101A color inkjet printer produces large-scale prints from high-quality paper rolls. Once the printer is set up, you might have questions about how to perform basic functions.

  1. Load Paper

    • Push the "Paper" button, located on the front panel, and select "Paper Load," "Load Roll" and select the roll you wish to change. If the roll you wish to change is loaded, it will be automatically ejected. When the front panel prompts, open the roll door by pulling the blue handle. Insert the roll into the printer against one hub at a time and shut the roll door.

    Paper Advance

    • Push the "Ink" button on the front panel and select "Image Quality Maintenance," "Paper Advance Calibration" and "Calibrate Paper Advance." The printer will automatically print a paper advance calibration image. Use the print to adjust the length of your print. Push the "OK" button to save the settings and exit.

    Dry Time

    • You can make adjustments to the print drying time by accessing the HP Color Center from the HP Utility on your computer. Choose "Paper Preset Management," select "Change Printing Properties," select your preferred category and select the type of paper loaded. A list of drying times appears. Select the desired drying time from the list of options.
