Can You Propagate Anytime With a Heated Greenhouse?
A greenhouse helps to create an artificial environment where plants can grow. Greenhouses may be used to recreate the conditions under which plants will multiply for year-round propagation. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Types
-
Plants may be propagated in a variety of ways including dividing the root ball of a clumped plant, taking and rooting a cutting, and planting new seeds.
Significance
-
Cuttings and plant divisions produce roots best when temperatures are within the range of 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Seed germination occurs at the optimal time for a particular type of seed. By controlling the greenhouse temperature, you can encourage propagation.

Features
-
Both sprouting seeds and rooting plants require light to root quickly. In a greenhouse, natural light may be supplemented with grow lights in winter when the sun is weaker.
