Program Guide for an FTA Receiver

An FTA (free-to-air) receiver joins all components of your home theater system in one device. Once the receiver is hooked up, you might have questions about how to set it up using the receiver's menu options.

  1. Satellite Settings

    • Once you turn on the TV and receiver for the first time, a pop-up menu will appear to begin setup. Select the language you desire, push "Menu" to pull up the main menu and use the navigation buttons to select "Dish Setting." Adjust each setting according to your satellite's specifications.

    Scanning Channels

    • Select "Auto Scan" from the main menu and select your satellite from the list that appears to begin scanning for available channels. Choose the search type you desire ("All Channels," "Free Channels Only" or "TV Channels Only"), and select "Scan." Your satellite will scan for all available channels and save them to its memory.

    Security Settings

    • Select "Security Setting" from the main menu to lock menu entries or change your password. Select "Channel Lock" to lock the channel settings and choose "On." To change your password, select "Current Password," enter your current password, enter the new password and enter the new password again for verification.
