Recommended Heights
-

Environment Factors
-
Several of the things to be considered when deciding on a final height relate to the light's surroundings. If there are other things hanging on the wall already, be sure the light is placed in a way that will complement them.

Human Factors
-
It is also necessary to consider the human element when choosing a height. If a particularly tall and/or short person lives in the home, the height might need to adjusted so the light doesn't glare in their eyes when they pass it. Depending on the type of sconce being used, this problem can sometimes be solved by simply angling the light up.
