What Would Be the Best Pink Flower to Plant in a Container?
Growing pink flowers in containers is a great way to add color to a space, whether it be a porch, a patio, or a spot inside the home. Does this Spark an idea?

Types of Flowers
-
There are numerous pink flower species that will do well in a potted environment. Impatiens have delicate flowers and a wide range of pink hues to choose from. They are also easy to bloom and can be cut back to the size of your choosing. Geraniums and begonias are also available in pink colors and are relatively easy to care for.
Considerations
-
There are several things to consider when choosing a potted plant. Will you be able to water the plant on a daily basis? Impatiens will most likely need to be watered daily. Geraniums and begonias will not need to be watered as frequently, but may not produce as many flowers as impatiens. Where is the pot going to be located? Impatiens prefer cooler, shaded areas, and would thrive on a porch or patio that receives only a couple of hours of sunlight. Begonias can do well in sunny or shaded areas, while geraniums prefer full sun.

Fertilizer for Potted Flowers
-
Begonias tend to be smaller plants, perfect for tabletops. When taking care of a potted plant, it is always a good idea to fertilize on a regular monthly schedule. Plants require nutrients such as potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus, which allow the plant to bloom more abundantly. Many potted soils already come with fertilizer mixed in, and this can feed the plant for several weeks.
