How to Remove Batteries From a Swiffer Wet Jet
The Swiffer Wet Jet is cleaning device that consists of a long handle leading to a rectangular mop head. The mop head holds a replaceable and disposable pad that picks up dirt and debris. Does this Spark an idea?

Design

Above the mop head is a well that holds a cartridge of cleaning solution. An electric pump in the well sends cleaning solution to two sprayers on either side of the mop head, spraying the solution out in front of the mop head when a button on the handle is pressed.
Batteries

The unit is powered by four AA alkaline batteries. As you use your Wet Jet, the batteries will eventually run down and need replacing. Proctor & Gamble recommends not using rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries may explode in faulty conditions.

Removal

Depress the clip at the top of the battery compartment on the back of the Swiffer Wet Jet, at the bottom of the cleaning solution cartridge well. Lower the battery compartment to reveal the four AA alkaline batteries. Remove the batteries from the compartment.
Replacement

Replace the batteries with four new AA alkaline batteries in the positions indicated within the compartment. Close the battery compartment. Test the unit by depressing the switch on the handle to spray solution onto the floor.
