IBM ThinkPad M22 Guide
IBM released a few different models of its ThinkPad PCs with ATI Mobility Radeon video cards. These video cards used the M22 chipset as a video processor. A few different Radeon cards exist with the M22, but IBM only released ThinkPads with the Radeon X300 card.

Supported Models
-
IBM ThinkPad computers that used the M22 include the R51e, R52 (with additional model numbers 1846, 1847, 1848, 1849, 1850 and 1870), T43 and T43p, and the Z60m (but only those models with an ATI tag). Other ThinkPad systems used different video cards and, therefore, did not contain the M22 chip.
Operating Systems
-
The ThinkPad models listed in the first section were all released with Windows XP Home or Professional Editions. Drivers for the Radeon X300 (with M22 chip) are only supported on XP systems. You may have difficulty finding a driver for a new version of Windows, but may be able to force compatibility of the XP driver in Vista or Windows 7.

X300 Manual

IBM wasn't the only OEM computer manufacturer to package its systems with the ATI Mobility Radeon X300. Dell Support offers users a complete user guide in HTML format that includes helpful information about connecting your devices, using TV output, troubleshooting your graphics card, and general set up and use of the ATI software (see Resources).
