Panasonic Pv-Gs12 Playback Problems
The portable Panasonic PV-GS12 camcorder records high-quality video footage and images, using cassette tapes and memory cards. When you receive and set up the camcorder, you might experience problems while viewing captured footage or images.

Mode
-
The camcorder mode must be set to "Playback" before footage can be viewed. The mode dial is located on the back of the camera and features the following modes: "Tape Recording," "Tape Playback," "Card Recording" and "Picture Playback." Select either "Tape Playback" or "Picture Playback" to playback images or video.
Sound
-
If no sound is heard during video playback, the sound might be turned down and muted completely. Push the "W/T" lever, located on the right side of the camcorder, toward the "T" to bring up the volume.
-
Distortion
-
If you're playing back a tape and mosaic patterns are seen in the footage, the footage might be a copy of a copyright protected cassette. If an image is distorted, the camera might have been near a magnetized piece of equipment, such as a microwave or TV, which sends out magnetic fields and interferes with image capture.
