Size
-
As long as the face plate under your cabinet is at least 4 inches high, it will be adequate for installing a kick plate heater. Kick plate heaters are available in a variety of widths, but are typically about 18 inches. Most kick plate heaters are about 12 inches deep and will fit in standard-sized under-cabinet areas.
Uses
-
Typical kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms have uncarpeted floors, which can be uncomfortable for bare or stocking feet in cold climates. Installing a kick plate register under the vanity or kitchen sink cabinet can warm the room with having to raise the temperature in the entire house.
