The Toshiba Satellite A75 series came equipped with 512 MB of RAM that couldn't be removed. The laptop had one available memory slot that could fit either a 512 MB, 768 MB or 1 GB memory module, giving the laptop a 1.5 GB maximum memory capacity. The laptop is compatible with PC-2700 DDR memory in the Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module, or SODIMM, format.

The graphics card, audio card and built-in speakers make it compatible with audio and video playback. The laptop had an internal wireless networking card, making the laptop compatible with wireless Internet. Manufactured with three USB 2.0 ports, an S-Video output, an RGB monitor port and a parallel printer port, the Satellite A75 can compatibly connect with multiple external peripherals and devices. A type II PC Card slot means compatible PC cards can also be connected.
