Occupations
-
Designers, mechanical engineers, managers, inspectors, machinists and inspectors can all benefit from training in the field of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. It allows members of these fields to precisely describe and understand features of a product so it can be accurately and efficiently manufactured.
Curriculum
-
Fundamental dimensional tolerance training courses describe the pitfalls of traditional coordinate tolerancing and how geometric tolerancing overcomes them. A beginning course, which takes three days, also teaches the symbols and terminology of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Online
-
Basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing courses offered online can last 43 days, or about six weeks. Topics covered include the dimensioning and tolerancing standard, straightness, flatness, circularity, surface and size orientation, position tolerance theory and coaxial controls.
