The Internal Support Function in Outlook 2007

As of January 2011, the current release of Microsoft Outlook is 2010. Microsoft still publishes and maintains previous versions of Outlook like 2007. This includes information on its internal and external help features.

  1. Access Help

    • In Microsoft Office 2007, the Help menu is located in the upper right-hand corner of the Programs menu bar. Follow down the row from "File," "Edit" and so on until you reach "Help." A quicker way to access the help menu is to press "F1." Pressing "F1" will launch the help screen.

    Offline Content

    • The internal Help or support menu that opens after you press "F1" offers both offline and online content options. Offline content will display the preinstalled topics for Microsoft Outlook 2007. You will find information on general settings, contacts, calendars and advanced functionality within this menu.

    Online Content

    • In the bottom right-hand corner of the Help menu, you have the option to show content from Microsoft Office Online. This will allow you to not only access the preinstalled help content, but also access Microsoft Office Online help topics without leaving the program. It incorporates a search function to help you easily find the content you are looking for.
