Custom enclosure subwoofers have an enclosure made with placement in the car kept in mind, allowing for maximum audio quality.

Paper has the desire qualities for car subwoofers, such as responsiveness to vibration; treating the paper gives it the strength to withstand the vibrations for long periods. Enclosures can incorporate nearly any type of wood, but light wood and particle board offer some of the best acoustics.
