Effects of an LED Lenser on the Eyes

Effects of an LED Lenser on the Eyes thumbnail
LED lensers are high quality, high priced, flashlights that can temporarily damage your eyes.

The light emitting diode (LED) lenser is a high-tech flashlight invented in Germany, but is manufactured in China. It is a favorite among outdoorsmen, security guards and amateur astronomers.

  1. The Flashlight

    • The LED Lenser is a small, compact flashlight tightly sealed with two O-rings and so, is waterproof and dustproof. It has several settings including an extremely focused beam that is very bright and a broad beam setting that lights up a wide area. This proprietary technology gets all this power from ordinary AAA batteries.

    Non-Lethal Weapon

    • Security guards and law enforcement agents like the LED Lenser because it can be used as a non-lethal weapon. When the beam is tightly focused it will instantly blind anyone who looks directly into the beam and the blindness goes away in about 10 minutes with no permanent damage.

    Red Light

    • The LED Lenser has two control buttons. The white light button matches the black case. A red button turns on a lower level, red LED. It is bright enough to see by, but does not destroy your natural night vision. It's excellent for anyone setting up a camera or telescope at night.
