Promedia 2.1 Vs. Logitech

Both the ProMedia 2.1 speakers and the Logitech Speaker System Z623 are designed for use with MP3 players or computers. While they have similar functions they are a few different features that set them apart.

  1. Similarities

    • Both the Promedia and Logitech speakers are THX 2.1 certified, feature an external subwoofer unit for driving bass sounds; come with integrated controls, have 200 watts of power and use 3.5mm headphone jacks to easily connect an iPod or computer.

    Differences

    • The Logitech Speaker system features additional inputs for RCA cables to accommodate gaming devices and other equipment.

    Considerations

    • The Logitech is more useful if you plan to use the speaker system with other pieces of home audio equipment. Besides the additional inputs, the quality of sound and volume level is comparable between the two speakers and as of January 2011, they are both priced the same.
