Katahdin Outdoors maintains a website of wildflowers that can be found at Baxter State Park. The database can be searched by the color of the flower, and colored photos are included to help with identification.

Maine is concerned with invasive plants that have been brought in from other areas. Invasive plants lead to a loss of native plants and animals. According to the Maine Volunteer Lake Monitors, there are 11 aquatic plant invaders. The group maintains a website that allows people to identify which invader they found.
