Palm 5 Viruses

Palm 5 Viruses thumbnail
Personal digit assistants are vulnerable to viruses for a number of reasons.

Personal digital assistants (PDAs), such as the Palm V, are susceptible to computer viruses, the same as other computing devices which connect to the Internet.

  1. Phage Virus

    • This virus fills the screen with a dark-grey box and terminates the running application. The virus then replicates to another application.

    Liberty Crack Trojan

    • A Trojan is a virus disguised as another application. In this case, Liberty is a program that allows Nintendo Game Boy games to be played on the Palm V. The liberty crack virus deletes all applications on the Palm.

    Vapor Virus

    • The vapor virus deletes all applications on the Palm V.

    Prevention/Solution

    • Antivirus software for PDAs is available, including the Palm V.
