Toilet Paper Clogged in the Drain
Toilet paper can clump and cause a blockage in the toilet. If the water in the toilet is draining slowly or refuses to drain at all when you flush, there may be a clog of toilet paper that needs to be dislodged. Does this Spark an idea?

Tools
-
To dislodge toilet paper, use a plunger or a plumber's snake. A plunger create suction to dislodge the toilet paper and allow it to get flushed, and a plumber's snake is threaded down the pipe and used to shred the clog or bring it back up.
Dissolution
-
If the clog is primarily toilet paper, it should be simple to break up with hot water and dish soap. Bail out the toilet until there is only a little bit of water in it, and then pour in ½ cup of hot water and ½ cup of dish soap. Allow the solution to work for half an hour and then flush the toilet.

Misconceptions
-
According to Consumer Search, the type of toilet paper that you use does not affect the number of toilet clogs that you experience. While thinner, one-ply toilet paper may flush more readily, there is the temptation to use more of it.
