How a Smart House Operates
Smart homes integrate modern technology with age-old house design to deliver a spectacular and convenient living experience. A computer now controls many of the operations within the home that once were done manually. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Automation
-
One of the main operations of a smart house is to automate routine actions. For example, when you enter a room, smart homes have sensors that turn on the lights and turn them off when you leave.
Mechanical and Engineering Room
-
Smart homes typically have a room where the computer that controls the smart house is centrally located. This room is commonly called the mechanical and engineering room.
-
Zone Control
-
Smart homes often have individual control panels within each room or area of the house. These panels typically control that area's temperature and lighting, as well as any applicable audio and video controls.
Security
-
Smart home security is perhaps it's most important feature. Security cameras mounted outside monitor the exterior of the home while an interior system checks for break-ins. With smart homes, the security footage is often accessible remotely via the Internet.
Wiring Safety
-
A computer controls the smart home electricity, turning it off to sockets and selected devices not in use, improving safety.
