Short knee pants known as knickerbockers became popular casual wear and were available in "plus" variations, which referred to the amount of inches under the knee they hung. Two-tone shoes in white and black or white and tan often accompanied 1920s' casual wear.

The sack suit was the most common dress wear for men in the 1920s. Men wore the suit with colored shirts, silk ties with geometrical patterns and bowler hats. For more formal evening events, men wore tailcoats and top hats. Black patent leather shoes were popular in this era and often went with formal evening attire.
