Beer Bottle Christmas Tree Decorations
Decorating the Christmas tree is often a memorable tradition that loved ones enjoy together, often adding a new item to the tree each year. If you're especially crafty and want to include an eye-catching item on the tree this year, use beer bottles. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Size
-
The size of the beer bottles you're using should match the Christmas tree size, so that the tree won't tip over once you're done decorating. For instance, a small tree will look great with mini beer bottles covered in wrapping paper to add color. Full-size bottles will compliment large trees -- you can bring more attention to the bottles by painting each family member's name on them.
Shapes
-
If you're using beer bottles in a porter shape, or bottles with a long, slender neck and wide bottom, you can tie a wide ribbon around the bottle base, cover the slim top with glitter or both. For a champagne beer bottle shape that is tall and slim, place small electric lights inside the bottle to illuminate the ornament before hanging it on the tree.

Considerations
-
To ensure that the beer bottle ornaments stay on the tree, place part of a hanger inside the bottle and form the remaining section of the hanger into a tight hook that will latch onto a tree branch. If you're keeping the caps on the beer bottles, you can hot glue a small hook to the cap to place the ornament on the tree.
