Problems With Flash OCX
Adobe Flash is a multimedia program that is used to create interactive websites and other moving images on the Web and within applications on your home computer, such as screensavers. At times, your computer may give an error message when it cannot run a Flash application, particularly if you are using a third-party screensaver.
-
Error Message
-
Screensavers that use Flash technology load the image by accessing a Flash file called flash.ocx. When the program is not appropriate named, you may get a message that says "Could not find the file Flash.ocx."
Cause
-
This error message is likely the result of a file that has not been appropriately updated. The flash.ocx file is specific to Flash 7. If your version is higher, it uses a different extension such as flash9.ocx.

Solutions
-
To fix the issue, you could find the extension and rename it to the appropriate version. Alternatively, you can completely uninstall the Adobe Flash that you have in your computer using the Uninstaller and then reinstall it. If you can live without the screensaver or other application, you can uninstall it and use something else.
