Information on Tegaderm AG Mesh

Tegaderm AG Mesh is a proprietary wound dressing made by EM. The mesh consists of a soft, porous, gauzy material that comes in different sizes, ready to use. The mesh is also antimicrobial.

  1. Benefits

    • Tegaderm Ag Mesh acts as a barrier to microbes. The product contains ionic silver, which is effective even against microbes that have shown resistance to antibiotics. The mesh can act as a primary dressing, or it can be combined with other dressings, depending on the type of wound.

    Indications

    • Tegaderm Ag Mesh can be used to dress abrasions, second degree burns, surgical wounds, ulcers and wounds from trauma. For best results, sterile water or normal saline may be used to moisten the mesh, which helps prevent cell desiccation.

    Other Facts

    • The mesh can also be covered with additional dressing to help keep the wound moist, as well as to prevent any sticking to the wound, which can make removal painful.
