Where to Plant Red Coral Bells
Heuchera is commonly known as Coral Bells and grows in low, mounded forms about a foot wide with 12 to 18 inch flower stalks bearing the tiny flowers above the foliage. The plants thrive if planted in the right place. Does this Spark an idea?

Light Shade
-
Plant coral bells in light shade or the dappled shade of a tree. They will tolerate areas in deep shade given direct sun at some part of the day. Avoid planting in full, direct sun or areas that receive no shade, especially hot climates.
Hardiness
-
Plant coral bells throughout most of the United States. Most will do fine in USDA hardiness zones 3 to 9 except one variety, Heuchera maxima, which is perennial only in zones 9 to 10.

Planting Sites
-
Plant Coral bells along borders, shaded pathways and in the woodland garden. Classified as a woodland plant, coral bells prefer the light, dappled shade of mature trees. Provide plants with a layer of mulch early in the spring, especially in beds that receive direct sun. The plants prefer moist, well-drained soil.
