How to Learn Portals

The Mage in World Of Warcraft is an unique character that can use portals to port people to various cities from anywhere in the game. Portals use a Rune of Portals.

  1. Alliance Portals

    • At level 42 the Mage can learn the following city portals: Darnassu, Exodar, Ironforge, Stormwind, and Theramore. At level 66 the Mage can learn the Shattrath portal. At level 74 the Mage can learn Dalaran and at level 85 the Mage can learn Tol Barad. Portal trainers are located next to the Mage trainer in all major cities.

    Horde Portals

    • At level 42 the Mage can learn the following city portals: Orgrimmar, Silvermoon, Thunderbluff, and Undercity. At level 66 the Mage can learn the Shattrath portal. At level 74 the Mage can leard Dalaran portal and at level 85 the Mage can learn Tol Barad. Portal trainers are located next to the Mage trainer in all major cities.

    Portals

    • Portals are different than Teleport. A portal is used to port other people in your group and the Mage to major cities. Portals can be used at any time, from anywhere in the game with the use of a Rune of Portals which can be purchased at a reagents vendor.
