Beadboard is made out of wood and is decorated with parallel, vertical lines spanning the entire panel. These panels can be painted and installed along the entire wall or just a portion of the wall for dramatic effect and protection of the wall's integrity.
Installation

Corner installation of beadboard is relatively simple. Begin the installation at the corner by using a wood corner piece. Attach it to the corner and verify that it is plumb. Take the beadboard paneling and align it on either side of the corner piece. Adhere the beadboard directly to the wall with adhesive.

Considerations

Be aware that beadboard is wood so expansion and contraction need to be considered. Allow the paneling to adjust to the room's moisture levels by leaving the beadboard within the room for about two or three days before installation.
