Krill are shrimp-like crustaceans that live in marine environments around the world. Krill are fished commercially as a food source for humans and animals. For goldfish, krill should be used only as a supplemental food.

Krill goldfish food may be purchased in either freeze-dried or frozen forms. Freeze-dried krill, available in different sizes, are easy to store and feed at your convenience. Large krill may be purchased in frozen packages, but you must thaw and cut the krill into manageable portions before feeding goldfish.

Goldfish consume dead plant matter along the bottom of the pond as well as aquatic insects. Feed krill to goldfish once per week to supplement the natural diet with additional nutrients.
