Finding an affordable cruise depends upon your destination. Important factors to consider are the weather and popularity of the destination when determining vacationing costs.

Caribbean

Late summer and early fall are the cheapest times to cruise in the Caribbean because of hurricane season. You may find discount cruises available in December, in time for the holidays and in the spring.

Mexico

Mexico offers the best deal on its cruises in the fall during hurricane season. This is the time between Mexico's two high seasons.

Alaska

Alaska's cruise season is shorter than others. May and September are colder months in Alaska, therefore cruise prices are better. May is also an ideal time for an Alaskan cruise since it is a very dry month when the weather will not interfere with sightseeing.

New England/Canada

Cruises to the New England and Canada area are more affordable in May and late October. The weather is cooler at this time and less vacationers are traveling unlike the summer months.
