Is a Canon G9 or Canon G10 Better?

Canon released the G9 in August 2007, and the G10 came out in October 2008.
Image Quality

The G9 uses the older DIGIC III processor and offers 12.1 megapixels. The G10 uses a DIGIC 4 processor and has 14.7 megapixels, resulting in better image quality. The G9 can record video in 1024 x 768 resolution, but the G10 only offers 640 x 480 video resolution.

Both cameras feature a 3-inch LCD screen, but the G10's screen has double the resolution of the G9. The G9 has a 6x optical zoom, while the G10 is slightly less powerful, with only 5x. However, the G10's lower focal length of 6.1 mm enables you to take wider-angle shots.
