Mobile Architect Certification
As the market for smartphones continues to grow, the demand for programs developed for their mobile architecture grows with it. There are a number of programs for getting certified to program for these new architectures.
-
Java
-
Google's Android operating system, which runs on many smartphones, uses the Java programming language. Oracle offers a series of classes that lead to a Java Mobile Application Developer certificate.
Netcom
-
Netcom offers a training course on programming for Google's Android environment. It covers Java development tools, such as the Eclipse integrated development environment, and the Android advanced programming interfaces (APIs).
-
Sprint
-
Sprint does not specifically offer training to write mobile applications. Rather, Sprint offers a program to certify that your program's source code will work on Sprint devices.
Course Lengths
-
The Java certification classes usually last about five days. The Netcom training features an accelerated introductory class that lasts three days, and an accelerated advanced class that lasts two days. These classes are offered in different locations for different training dates. Consult the "Resources" section for more details.
