Some spaces provide a challenge for home audio setup, requiring the use of speakers that are disconnected from wires. Acoustic Research manufacture a wide range of wireless speakers that are appropriate for indoor and outdoor applications.

Wireless Operation

The broadcasting range to obtain a clear signal for Acoustic Research wireless speakers ranges in distance from 150 to 250 feet. The speakers receive signals at a frequency of 900 megahertz.

Tweeters, Subwoofers, Drivers

The tweeters for Acoustic Research wireless speakers are 1 1/2 inches or 2 inches, and the subwoofers are 3 inches or 5 inches. The AW827 uses a 3-inch down-firing driver to create omnidirectional sound, while the AW828 uses a 5-inch single driver.

Features

Acoustic Research wireless speakers feature a frequency response between 40 hertz to 15 kilohertz. The exception is the AW877 model which has a frequency response between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. Some outdoor and indoor models are designed to blend into surroundings and provide an accent to decor, including speakers that also serve as lanterns and planters.
