Problems with iTunes and TuneBite can have a number of causes.

TuneBite is a program released by Audials that enables users to record audio and video being played on a PC and remove any embedded Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection. If TuneBite is interfering with iTunes playback, there are a number of possible causes.

  1. Corrupted Software

    • A damaged or incomplete software installation can cause problems with media playback. Make sure that the latest versions of both TuneBite and iTunes are installed--these can be found from the Audials website and the Apple website, respectively. If the problem isn't solved, try completely uninstalling and reinstalling each program.

    Conflicting Software

    • It's possible that a third-party plug-in or tool is interfering with playback. Try closing down all other applications and disabling any audio add-ons that are installed. It's also worth checking audio and video settings in the Windows Control Panel.

    Further Troubleshooting

    • The TuneBite website features a support forum where issues can be posted and solved by Audials employees. If the issue is a general iTunes problem unrelated to TuneBite, you can find help and advice on the Apple website (see Resources).
