KidPix Studio Deluxe Tutorial

Children can be very creative if given the right tools and outlet. KidPix Studio Deluxe is a computer software program that allows kids to express their creativity through art and graphics. The program is appropriate for children ages 3 to 12.

  1. System Requirements

    • To use KidPix Studio Deluxe, you need a computer with a Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 operating system. You also need 32 MB of hard disk space, a CD-ROM drive and a Windows-compatible sound device.

    Getting Started

    • Install the program, then double-click the "KidPix" icon to get started. The first screen you will see is the Picker screen. From the Picker screen, choose one of six programs and listen to the instructions while the program loads.

    Drawing

    • The square white area in the middle of the screen is the drawing area. The black bar to the left of the screen is the KidPix toolbar. Select your drawing tool from this area. The area under the white screen is the Tool Options tray. Select your drawing style from this area. Create an image by using you mouse to move your tool over the drawing area.

    Adding Text

    • To add text to the drawing area, select the typewriter tool. Choose your font size and style. Use your mouse to create a text box. Type the text into the text box.
