Mopar Small Block Performance

Small block engines are eight-cylinder engines that both Mopar and Chrysler produced. These small block engines went in many Chrysler trucks for everyday and industrial use.

  1. 1968 Mopar 383 Two Carburetor Performance

    • The 1966 383 cc, small block engine was capable of producing 290 hp when it was operating at 4,400 rpm. The maximum torque rating of this small block engine was 390 pound-feet when at 2,800 rpm.

    1967 Mopar 383 Four Carburetor Performance

    • This engine's maximum horsepower capability was 300 when operating at 4,400 rpm. The peak torque rating was 400 pound-feet when operating at 2,400 rpm.

    1971 Mopar 383 Perfomance

    • The 1971 383 produced 275 hp when operating at 4,400 rpm. The peak torque rating was 375 pound-feet when operating at 2,800 rpm.
