A Guide to Garden Sheds

A Guide to Garden Sheds thumbnail
Garden sheds can be extra houshold storage for seasonal items.

With tons of yard and garden implements spilling out of your garage, many homeowners barely have room for their vehicles. They save room for their car in their garage by giving these items their own storage unit, a garden shed. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Types

    • Whether you choose to build from scratch, have your shed installed or purchase a prebuilt shed, the materials used in construction are much the same. You may find sheds made from metal, wood, plastic and vinyl.

    Considerations

    • To make better use of your garden shed, install shelving units that hang or stand to house more equipment than you can fit onto the floor of the unit. Locating your shed close to your vegetable garden give you easy access to gardening tools housed inside the shed.

    Warning

    • Check your shed often to ensure that pest animals are not using your shed as a home. You also need to ensure that pets are not accessing any dangerous substances in the shed, such as antifreeze used in gardening devices or chemical pesticides.
