ISO Standard 12647

ISO standard 12647 is the standard for all types of printers, including color ink jet printers. ISO standard 12647-1 uses the HKS color system for color ink jet printing. ISO standard 12647-2 regulates stochastic screening, the process of using halftone dots of varying frequency to add the desired gray level. ISO standard 12647-3 addresses color separations for newsprint. ISO standard 12647-4 is the reference for four-color publication gravure printing, a form of reversed image printing. ISO standard 12647-5 covers screen printing. ISO standard 12647-6 covers flexographic printing. ISO standard 12647-7 describes the proofing process for printing digital data, whether it is from a laser printer or color ink jet printer.
