What Is Radiant Gravity Heat?

What Is Radiant Gravity Heat? thumbnail
Radiant energy provides heat in the floor and walls of a home.

Radiant gravity heat is an alternative heat source to traditional heating systems such as central heating gas furnaces, to heat homes and offices. It has pros and cons. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Function

    • Radiant heat travels in a line and heats objects in its path. When the objects are warmed, the heat radiates throughout the room to warm it as well. Radiant heating is not like hot air, since gravity does not affect it and the heat does not rise substantially.

    Benefits

    • This heat source is energy efficient and well-distributed since it does not escape through ducts. Radiant energy is comfortable since it flows near floor level, to heat bodies quicker.

    Considerations

    • Radiant heating is an expensive energy source that does not provide cooling. If you have a well-insulated home or live in a warm climate, radiant heating may not be a sensible option.
