Considerations

Flatbed truckers need specialized training on handling and securing large loads. The security of the load and the safety of other drivers comes down to the trucker. Load strapping and tarping must be done in all types of weather and is physically demanding. You may be required to maneuver in tight areas to deliver your load.

Loads

You could end up with oversize loads, which could be considered either a pro or a con, depending on your viewpoint. You may be asked to haul hazardous materials. The increased pay may outweigh the extra work and risk.
