Equipment Used for the WWE thumbnail
WWE is a popular form of sports entertainment.

An array of equipment is necessary for the production of WWE tours and TV broadcasts. From cutting-edge production equipment to storyline props, each piece of equipment adds its own element to the entertainment spectacle that is WWE.

  1. Production

    • WWE replaced its production system in 2008 with new high-definition devices. HD cameras, microphones and two new state-of-the-art production trucks bring WWE action to the screen with additional color and detail.

    Set

    • WWE pioneered a concept in sports entertainment with its all-video set. The set is made entirely out of HD screens, allowing for significant alterations in set production. Twenty-two Impression LED moving light heads hang 40 feet above the main stage, resulting in rapid color washes and changes.

    Props

    • Each WWE superstar has his own props, but some props are more common. Every WWE fan has seen the standard breakable tables, folding chairs, trash cans and ladders that show up quite often in WWE matches. A cage is sometimes lowered over the ring for cage matches. Other unusual props have included snakes, spiked clubs, chains and sledgehammers.
