Internet browser televisions have their own Internet capabilities so that no PC is required to access the Internet. However, you may need to subscribe to a service provider depending on your location.

One of the latest advancements in Internet browser TV has been made by Sony with Sony Internet Television. This Sony/Google cooperative project bundles Google Chrome as its browser. Samsung also offers Internet television in some of their TVs, featuring web-navigation, apps, and even an internal hard drive.

This means that you can browse the Internet on your TV or watch web-based content on your screen (such as content offered through an online video service like Hulu.com) right out of the box, just as you would watch any television program. Internet TVs may also feature media streaming, on-demand services, internal hard drives, and a variety of apps that are either pre-programed or downloadable, all viewable in HD.
