Virtual World Simulation Training is a contest conducted by the US Army.

The Federal Virtual World's Challenge is a competition created by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command's Simulation and Training Technology Center. It is open to all contestants worldwide with the goal of seeking "innovative and interactive solutions in a virtual environment" according to the website.

  1. STTC

    • The Army's Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC) is located in Florida and works with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to "support innovative modeling, simulation and training research and technology to benefit U.S. Warfighters and the simulation community" according to US Army news.

    Virtual World

    • The Federal Virtual World Challenge began in 2009. It focuses on training and analysis capabilities in a virtual environment for the Department of National Defense, Homeland Security, Transportation and others. Submission to the competition need to be self contained and include all documentation.

    Eligibility

    • Anyone, anywhere in the world is eligible to enter the competition. Individuals under age 18 must have a special permission form, issued by the STTC, filled out and submitted by a parent or guardian.
