Stone patios are beautiful pieces of landscaping that are easy to make and are affordable. When looking at stone patio prices, consider features such as sizes, types of stone and any extra fees.
Flagstone and bluestone are perfect for building patios, as they're flat stones that can be easily cut and placed to fit the shape of your desire. Bluestone and flagstone typically cost $15 to $18 per square foot, as of 2010, according to Cost Helper. These stones are also easy to maintain throughout the year.
The size of your patio greatly affects the price, as you'll need more square footage of stone to fill a larger space. A small stone patio will run you less than $3,600, while a large stone patio can cost upward of $30,000, Cost Helper says.
Along with the price of the stone, you may have to pay for delivery, site preparation and installation fees if you're not building the patio yourself.
