Welding is an field in which you are hired to build a structure after being trained to use a blow torch. Welding can be used to build houses, automobiles, bridges and ships, among other things. As safety standards vary, international welding is a skilled task that first requires general training in welding, then certification training in international welding.

For the international welding certification, you will be required to complete up to 438 hours performing specific tasks in welding on the job. Therefore, only the manual training process is available for the international welding certification. The basic welding modules you are trained for include welding inspection, fabrication and fundamental practical skills. The criteria for certification is administered jointly by the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and the European Federation of Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF).
